The Forum building is a stunning new £48 million centrepiece that has transformed the heart of the Streatham Campus at the University of Exeter.

The identity centres around a bespoke pattern that was inspired by the Forum’s triangular grid shell roof. We created an algorithm that used elements from the roof to re-interpret images of natural forms – focusing on the shadow play from tree canopies and local flora. Created in collaboration with Gennaro Senatore.

The outcome of the pattern then helped inform the typeface and icon set look and feel, using linear and triangular elements.
