Thomas.Matthews are known for a their approach to graphic design, whether that be championing sustainability or creating a project with minimal impact to the environment.

When this project was completed, the communication and awareness of sustainability in design was still relatively rare. The approach asked big questions about the process of design, followed up with tips on how to approach a solution differently or share interesting and surprising statistics that could help reduce a designers impact.

The stationery was designed using existing materials (surplus pre-printed paper) and inks, then maximising use of the press sheet. No new materials were used in this process. Through the process of this project, we defined what we thought good design should be: appropriate, sustainable and beautiful.

The project won a Graphis gold award. Lovely stuff.
